TECHNICIAN & GENERAL CLASS AMATEUR LICENSES Technician, General Class license upgrade, and Extra Class upgrade classes are held regularly throughout the year. Check this website page for dates and locations. Free instruction from Gordo. Materials are usually $75 plus a $15 test fee. Final exams are held on Sunday afternoons. Remember... You must hold a TECHNICIAN license to take the GENERAL upgrade class. Call Gordo direct to enroll in the next class of your choice at 714-549-5000. GENERAL CLASS INFORMATION Most classes throughout the coming year are held at the Orange County Chapter of the American Red Cross, at 4th Street, Santa Ana, California. (unless otherwise stated). Tests administered on Sunday afternoon in class by a team of certified Volunteer Examiners from both ARRL as well as W5YI VEC, courtesy of the CLARA repeater system 145.220 MHz. MARINE RADIO OPERATOR LICENSE Marine Radio Operator License classes will be held on the following Thursdays, May 20, August 26, and November 18 in Newport Beach, California. Classes are from 9:00am to 4:30pm, with lunch from 12:00pm to 1:00pm. Free instruction from Gordo. Materials and Gordo's Study Notes $99 plus $35 test fee.
